I found this podcast that breaks down the idea really well. If you’re a teacher, this podcast would be perfect for discussing conceptual metaphors in the classroom.
George Lakoff has several books. I’ve read parts of Metaphors We Live By and I think it’s great if you’re really interested in the theory (it’s quite technical, though). I’ve heard good things about Don’t Think of the Elephant. It’s about how U.S. politics are framed. Even if you’re not super into politics, I hear that it outlines persuasive strategies to articulate and frame arguments. I’m going to read it soon and I’ll let you all know what I think!
